Vrikshasana, or Tree Pose, is a balancing asana that replicates the steady stance of a tree. It teaches focus, stability, and grounding.
Steps for Vrikshasana
- Stand in Tadasana.
- Shift your weight to your left foot.
- Bend your right knee and place the sole of your right foot on your inner left thigh.
- Avoid placing the foot directly on the knee joint.
- Bring your hands to your chest in prayer position or raise them overhead.
- Fix your gaze on a point in front of you (Drishti).
- Hold for 30-60 seconds, then switch sides.
