200 Hours? 300 Hours? 500 Hours? If you're confused by the numbers, you're not alone. Here's the simple breakdown of what these certifications mean and which one you need.
200-Hour TTC: The Foundation
Think of this as your Bachelor's Degree in Yoga. It's the standard entry-level certification required to teach.
- Prerequisites: None (just a love for yoga).
- Focus: Basics of Asana, Anatomy, Philosophy, and Teaching Methodology.
- Outcome: You become a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200).
300-Hour TTC: The Master's Degree
This is an advanced course for those who are already certified.
- Prerequisites: Must have completed a 200-Hour TTC.
- Focus: Advanced adjustments, therapy, in-depth philosophy, and specialized teaching skills.
- Outcome: You become an RYT-500 (200 + 300).
Which One Should I Choose?
If you've never done a teacher training before, start with the 200-Hour Course. If you're already teaching and want to level up, the 300-Hour Course is your next step.
